Overview

NeuralCompanion is built on a simple privacy principle: your conversations are yours. We collect the minimum data needed to run the Platform, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to train our models. This policy explains exactly what we collect and why.

Data We Collect

Account Data

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you authenticate through a third-party provider, we receive only the information needed to create your account (email, name).

Usage Data

We collect basic analytics: pages visited, session duration, feature usage, and token transactions. This data is used to improve the Platform and is not linked to your conversation content.

Conversation Data

For cloud-hosted sessions, your messages are processed in real-time to generate companion responses. Conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not store conversation logs on our servers after your session ends unless you explicitly enable conversation history.

For local/standalone users, all conversation data stays on your device. Zero data leaves your machine.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the Platform.
  • To process token purchases and manage your account.
  • To generate companion responses during active sessions.
  • To send service-related communications (account verification, security alerts).
  • To improve Platform performance and fix bugs.

What we never do:

  • Sell your personal data to third parties.
  • Use your conversations to train AI models.
  • Share your data with advertisers.
  • Read or review your conversations (unless required by law).

Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Authentication is handled through Supabase with industry-standard security practices. Payment processing is handled by third-party processors — we never see or store your full payment details.

Third Parties

We use the following services to operate the Platform:

  • Supabase — Authentication and account management.
  • Payment processors — Secure token purchases (we do not store card details).
  • Hosting providers — Infrastructure for cloud-hosted sessions.

We do not share your data with any parties beyond what is necessary to operate the Platform.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. No advertising or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing.

Data Retention

Account data is retained for the life of your account. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized usage statistics may be retained for analytics purposes.

Children

NeuralCompanion is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover that a minor has created an account, it will be terminated immediately and all associated data deleted.
